IUT CSE mourns the loss of Professor Dr. M. A. Mottalib
With profound grief, we announce the sudden demise of Prof. Dr. M.A. Mottalib, former Head, Department of CSE, IUT ( إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ ). He passed away on April 01, 2021 due to COVID-19 complications.
He had served IUT as the Head of the Department of CSE from 2000 to 2017. In his glorious career apart from IUT, he had also served as the same at Dhaka University and BRAC University and as the Dean, School of Science and Engineering at University of Liberal Arts (ULAB). Recently, he had been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor at University of Skill Enrichment and Technology (USET).
He is survived by his wife and only son. Besides, he left behind a host of relatives, friends, well-wishers, students and colleagues. May the Almighty Allah give his family members courage and strength to bear the pain of such an immeasurable loss.
The IUT CSE family prays for the eternal peace of the departed soul and expresses their deepest condolences to the mourning family.
