Team XtraDrill, comprising Taki Tajwaruzzaman Khan, Tasnim Ashraf, and Ahabab Imtiaz Risat, added another feather to their cap by achieving remarkable success at BitFest 2025. Competing against some of the finest minds from universities across the country, they emerged as Champions in the Hackathon and claimed the 1st Runner-Up position in the Project Showcase events.

The Hackathon, sponsored and judged by Brainstation 23, featured a preliminary round held on December 21, 2024, where over 250 teams battled it out for a coveted spot in the onsite final round. Team XtraDrill advanced among 24 finalists, facing a 24-hour challenge on January 03, 2025, centered on the theme of AI & API.

Their final task was to create a Banglish-to-Bangla Conversion App, an innovative tool designed to bridge linguistic gaps by seamlessly converting Banglish text into authentic Bangla. The app also featured advanced functionalities like chatbots, translation systems, and continuous learning capabilities. Against formidable teams from reputed universities, Team XtraDrill outperformed expectations, clinching the Champion’s Trophy.
In the Project Showcase event, held concurrently on January 03, 2025, Team XtraDrill presented their innovative platform aimed at beginner programmers. The platform uses AI to help learners stay focused and on track, fostering an engaging and efficient learning experience. Competing against over 200 teams, the team secured the 1st Runner-Up position.

The competition was a true test of skill and determination, with top-tier teams from prestigious institutions setting a high bar.
