The dynamic trio of Taki Tajwaruzzaman Khan, Tasnim Ashraf, and Ahabab Imtiaz Risat, collectively known as Team XtraDrill from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) CSE Department's SWE'21 batch, has carved a path of excellence, achieving remarkable success in three major national tech competitions in 2024.
In their first-ever hackathon experience together, Team XtraDrill secured the 1st Runner-Up position among 178 teams in the prestigious National Hackathon at EWU ROBOFEST 2024, organized by East West University. Competing for over 12 hours, the team’s creative and technically sound solution captured the judges' attention, showcasing their ability to collaborate under intense pressure. The event brought together young innovators from across the country, inspiring participants to push the boundaries of technical innovation.
Building on their success, Team XtraDrill triumphed in the Dhaka Divisional Hackathon at Technocrats V.2, hosted by the IIEC at the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology. Competing against 75 teams, they achieved an unprecedented score of 99.25 out of 100, setting a new benchmark in the competition’s history. Their ability to deliver an exceptional solution reaffirmed their status as leading innovators in the tech community.
In their first foray into the world of data science, Team XtraDrill emerged Champions of the Data Hackathon at the 4th DIU Data Science Summit 2024, organized by Daffodil International University.
