On May 24, 2025, a team of junior‑year students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Islamic University of Technology (IUT) achieved top honors at Learnathon 3.0, securing the overall championship title and a total prize of 150,000 BDT. Learnathon, organized by Geeky Solutions in partnership with leading tech firms such as Brain Station 23, BracIT, CEFALO, Craftsmen, Enosis Solutions, Inument, Orbitax, and Vivasoft, is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements by identifying and nurturing job‑ready talent.
Team Code Warriors, comprising Nafis Fuad Shahid, MD Saidur Rahman Sagor, and MD Abdul Muqtadir, under the mentorship of alumnus Md Abdullah Al Noman (Senior Software Engineer, Brain Station 23), stood out among 163 teams selected from over 2,994 registrants across 60 universities. After advancing through a competitive Java‑stack preliminary round, in which 28 of 117 teams qualified, they were crowned champions of the Java category, earning 50,000 BDT.

The ultimate championship pitted the seven stack winners (Java, Python, MERN, PHP, .NET, Unity, and Flutter) against one another. Demonstrating exceptional technical prowess and teamwork, Code Warriors prevailed to claim the 100,000 BDT grand prize and the title of Learnathon 3.0 Champion.
Throughout the Learning Phase (December 20, 2024–April 25, 2025), 67 teams completed full‑stack projects under the guidance of 56 mentors. Code Warriors developed MetaHive, a real‑time multiplayer virtual office platform built on a modular microservices architecture with a React‑based frontend, enabling distributed teams to collaborate seamlessly.
The Learnathon journey has already yielded tangible career outcomes: 10 participants have been hired by Brain Station 23, with many more in the final stages of recruitment by Geeky Solutions member companies. As Brac ITS's Senior Technology Advisor, Topu Newaj observes, Learnathon “transforms our young university coders into world‑class talent.” The success of Code Warriors underscores IUT’s commitment to producing industry‑ready graduates and sets a high bar for future cohorts.
